Hello, I am Soo Yeak

I strive to capture your genuine emotions so you can relive the moments forever.

From a Scientist to a Photographer

My love for photography began unexpectedly in 2014 while I was pursuing a biotech degree at a local university. During my final year project, I was tasked with taking specimen photos using a professional DSLR camera.

I started experimenting with the camera outside of my project, taking portraits of my friends and documenting everyday moments. The thrill of freezing a moment in time, capturing genuine emotions—whether it was the joy of a spontaneous laugh or the depth of a tear—became intoxicating. My camera quickly became my constant companion, accompanying me everywhere I went, from casual outings to significant
events.

The more I delved into photography, the more I realized this was more than a hobby—it was a passion. It brought me immense joy to immortalize fleeting moments and tell stories through my photos. After graduation, I knew that my heart lay not in a lab, but behind the lens. I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a wedding photographer, where I could blend my love for storytelling with the magic of capturing one of life’s most cherished moments.

Journey Behind the Lens

I am a firm believer in living in the moment and being present in every situation. As an extroverted person, I love to connect with people and see the beauty in everything around me. It is this perspective that I bring to every photo shoot, allowing me to capture not only the perfect shot but also the true essence of each moment.

I strive to deliver a consistent minimalistic style that reflects my artistic vision. However, I’m open to understanding your preferences and incorporating elements that align with your vision while maintaining the quality and authenticity of my work.

I’m happy to review your mood board and pose ideas to understand your vision. While I will use these as inspiration, I cannot 100% replicate the mood of those photos. Every wedding is different, so I believe yours are special too! We can use those moodboard as que and inspiration but I will be adding my creative touch to ensure your photos are unique and authentic.
